Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have again arrested three men suspected to be agents of the ruling All Progressives Congress for alleged vote-buying in the ongoing gubernatorial elections in Osun State.
The agents were nabbed at the polling unit 02, ward 2, Ababa, Ifelodun street, Isale Osun.
They were caught with bags of cash as they were “inducing voters” during the electioneering process.
One of them was said to have also kept money in his socks.
EFCC operatives said they had a covert operation and everything had been documented.

Tinubu Has Right To Choose Muslim As VP- Badmus

A lawyer in Kaduna State, Barrister Timothy Badmus, on Saturday, condenmed the protest organised by the Christian body on Friday in Abuja, against Muslim-muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Over 10, 000 Nigerians from across the 19 northern States, had on Friday, July 15, 2022, converged in Abuja, to protest the Muslim-Muslim ticket adopted by Tinubu.
Reacting, Badmus noted that as a bonafide citizen of Nigeria, Ahmed Bola Tinubu has a right to choose whoever he wants as his preferred running mate.
Labour Party Denies Merging With PDP

The Chairman of Labour Party in Osun, Mr Adebayo Bello, has denied the report that the party’s candidate, Lasun Yusuf, has collapsed his structure to support the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Ademola Adeleke.
Bello told newsmen in Osogbo that the party could not and would not collapse its structure for anybody.
Yusuf, a former Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, is the flagbearer of the party in the state.
Panic As Gunmen Attack Cross River Speedboat, Kidnap Many Passengers

Many passengers were reported missing as the Nigerian police rescued a Reverend Sister among several other passengers who were robbed and kidnapped by sea pirates in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
The unidentified gunmen attacked the speedboat going to Oron in Akwa Ibom State from Calabar, robbed and kidnapped its passengers, according to Vanguard.
The incident happened a few minutes after the victims left the jetty in Calabar.
According to a 30-second video, a female passenger cried for help, and called on security agencies to come to their rescue.
Adeleke Wins Polling Unit

The candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke, has won his polling unit. He won with 218 votes.
Senator Adeleke voted at Unit 009, Ward 02, Abogunde/Sagba, Ede North.
His major contender, Governor Gboyega Oyetola polled 23 votes while Dr Akin Ogunbiyi of Accord Party has one vote.
