  The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, has disclosed that all the money in Cynthia Okereke’s account was cleared Friday. Rollas who was giving update on the alleged kidnap of his members, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornell (Agbogidi), said the veteran actors are for now, only missing, and have not been confirmed to be kidnapped. He said, “We have not confirmed the kidnap as it were. The only thing we know is that all the money in Cynthia Okereke’s account was cleared this morning (Friday). “We are expecting to get a kind of signal from the people holding them hostage to know whether it is a kidnapping or not”. Meanwhile, the Police Command in Enugu State said it has found the car of missing Nollywood actress, Cynthia Okereke.   The federal capital territory of Nigeria, Abuja has come under heavy security attacks following threats by some terrorists to kidnap President Muhammadu Buhari. Breaking News: heavy gun battle as bandits attacked military in Abuja checking point

  An unknown number of soldiers were said to have been killed on Thursday night by Boko Haram terrorists stormed an Army checkpoint around Zuma Rock, the border between FCT and Niger State. Sources said the terrorists arrived Zuma Rock on the axis of Madalla and Suleija along the Abuja-Kaduna highway, at about 8.30p.m., and took the soldiers by surprise, opening fire from different angles. “They were shooting continuously at the checkpoint for more almost one hour, and soldiers at the checkpoint were fighting back. But after a while, the shooting stopped,” a source said. The sources said the terrorists later abandoned their mission of moving into Abuja and retreated towards Kaduna axis. While retreating, the bandits who were said to be in several motorbikes, reportedly attacked some villages and shops in Madalla and carried foodstuff on their motorbikes before bolting. Breaking News: Senate has given president buhari six weeks to end insecurity in Nigeria or face impeachment

  The members of the minority caucus in the Senate staged a walk out of the chambers on Wednesday. They protested against the Senate President Ahmad Lawan’s refusal to allow the lawmakers commence an impeachment process against President Muhammadu Buhari. The senators, who had earlier held a two-hour closed session, were angry that Lawan did not allow them to discuss the issue of insecurity that was deliberated upon extensively in the closed session.   Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, popularly known as "Shi'ites" on Monday in Abuja staged a peaceful protest to demand for the release of the international passports of their leader, Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat. The group, which gathered along the Aguyi Ironsi Way in Maitama, accused the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government of gross violation of the fundamental human rights of the couple. IMN said one year after a Kaduna High Court discharged and acquitted the El-Zakzakys of terrorism charges, the authorities had refused to release the travel documents to them to enable them have access to medical attention overseas.
