  Popular Gospel Singer, Sammie Okposo is dead. POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that the music producer slumped on Friday morning and died shortly after. He was aged 51. Okposo made headlines early in the year after he publicly apologized to his wife, Ozioma for cheating on her with another lady in the United States. In the apology which was shared on his Instagram page, the singer lamented over the incident which he noted happened in 2021. The singer further stated that the development has seen him step aside from ministerial work until “full restoration.” More to come…

Update: NYSC gets new acting DG

  Mrs. Christy Uba, Director, Information and Communications Technology who is the most senior Director at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has taken over the leadership of the Corps. Mrs. Uba is now acting in the capacity of Overseer, pending the appointment of a substantive Director General by President Muhammadu Buhari. This follows the removal of Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah as Director General, NYSC by the President. The Director, Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa in a statement to Daily Independent confirmed this development.

  No fewer than 10 persons were reportedly killed in Agu-Amede community in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Monday. SaharaReporters gathered that the invading herders also wounded many, sacked villages, and burnt houses. It had been reported that armed Fulani herdsmen sacked over 14 local villages in Agu-Amede and Mgbuji communities since the second quarter of 2021.   The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, disclosed that two people have died and one other injured following a crash that involved the convoy of Bauchi State Commissioner for Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki. Sector Commander of the Corps in Bauchi State, Yusuf Abdullahi, confirmed the incident in a press statement to newsmen on Thursday. The FRSC boss said that the fatal crash was caused by speed violation, which led to a loss of control. It occurred on Wednesday, November 16 at about 2.25pm, at Miya town, along Miya-Warji in Warji local government area, involving five male adults.   A pressure group, Nigerian Democratic Vanguard (NDV), has called on the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, to direct the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to suspend all its campaign activities until the allegations of drug peddling against its presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, are cleared.
